Anti Slavery Policy

For the purposes of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, a slavery and human trafficking statement has been prepared on behalf of ECM Talent for all future fiscal years, until it is modified or amended.

We are proud of the working circumstances that our ECM Talent employees enjoy, as well as the initiatives we have done to combat slavery and human trafficking.

Given the nature of our business, ECM Talent’s Board of Directors believes there is a low chance that ECM TALENT or the supply chains that support our operations are involved in, supportive of, or complicit in slavery or human trafficking.

ECM TALENT’s employment and procurement standards ensure that we commit to acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings, imposing effective systems and controls to ensure that slavery and human trafficking do not exist either in our company or anyplace else.

ECM Talent

ECM Resourcing Ltd T/A ECM Talent is primarily a staffing and IT consulting business that sources and supplies experienced IT experts (“consultants”) to provide permanent or contract services to its customers. ECM TALENT either hires these consultants directly or through a business-to-business partnership. ECM Resourcing Ltd T/A ECM Talent is incorporated in the United Kingdom and headquartered in Essex, UK.

Supply Chain

The supply chains of ECM Talent are restricted to the provision of staffing and recruitment services. We work with both technically qualified IT workers and broad professional service organisations. We have a preferred supplier list (PSL) that has gone through extensive due diligence.

We do not act as a physical goods producer, manufacturer, or retailer, and we do not have a supply chain for such activities.

anti-slavery policy statement:

“ECM Talent has a zero-tolerance policy for slavery and human trafficking, and we are committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking are not present in our supply chains or in any element of our business.”

The main expression of ECM Talent’s slavery and human trafficking policy is its anti-slavery policy declaration. Its purpose is to inform and influence all ECM Talent operational procedures, and it serves as a point of reference when the company seeks service tenders or conducts routine audits and compliance screenings of our suppliers.

Processes of Due Diligence and Implementation

ECM Talent operates primarily in industries and with consultants that would not ordinarily be considered to be at risk of the perils of modern slavery and human trafficking. Notwithstanding this, we take our obligations and responsibilities in this regard very seriously and, as part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk, we operate a range of policies and procedures appropriate to the company structure and operations.

These include:

ECM Talent collaborates closely with all of its business partners to ensure that suggested pay is appropriate for the services provided and the overall market conditions. ECM Talent complies with the National Minimum Wage Acts and does not provide zero-hour contracts to clients.

ECM Talent’s recruitment process combines direct applications, referrals, targeted headhunting, and the use of our broad global network of applicants. All ECM Talent employees and consultants are subject to background checks to confirm that they are genuine applicants working as independent contractors with the proper qualifications.

ECM Talent’s recruitment staff is sufficiently trained to follow best recruitment procedures in order to check the expert’s identity, experience, qualifications, and availability. Before we start working with a consultant, we require proof of identification, right to work (if relevant), and references, all of which are checked. When such arrangements are on a business-to-business basis, screenings are also conducted to determine the nature of the link between the consultant and the organisation with which we are contracting.

Whistleblowing: ECM Talent encourages all of its employees, customers, and other business partners to notify the company as soon as possible if they have any issues about its direct actions or supply chains. Concerns of this nature are investigated by our directors.

Consultants’ On-Boarding Procedures:

Checks for compliance: ECM Talent gathers documents to aid in compliance inspections while onboarding new consultants and other third-party suppliers. Contractual guarantees are often sought regarding continuous compliance with our criteria and adherence to employment practises. Where identity and compliance checks have not been completed, ECM TALENT monitors all placements at all stages of the recruitment process. Any refusal to deliver critical compliance documentation is promptly and properly investigated.

Payments: Payments are only made to the contracting entity of suppliers once contractual assurances have been provided that the person performing the services is legally employed or engaged by the entity providing the services; including compliance with relevant labour laws, immigration laws and minimum wage legislation.

Working circumstances: ECM Talent collaborates closely with all clients to guarantee that the working conditions offered at the client’s location are up to standards. Health and safety assurances are constantly sought and supplied.

Our commitment to addressing the issue of modern slavery will be shared with our employees in order to ensure that they have a thorough awareness of the subject. The subject will be covered in the obligatory ECM Talent training and information materials.
